Is that cord for Disco Ball necessary? Will it run with just the batteries?

Our Motor features 2 modes including LED lighting while motor rotating & shining with sound activated LED lights while rotating, with a switch for easy controlling the mode. You could run it with 3xAA batteries or DC power supply according to your need.
Please note that it is better to take out the used battery to prevent leakage of electricity from affecting the function of the motor.

What are the power requirements for the motor? I want to hook it up to a box in the ceiling.

The power requirement for the motor is 120V. The 12" Mirror ball is designed to reflect the light of spotlight by its shiny and clear surface which consists of hundreds of mirror glass tiles, perfect for bringing sparkling light. It is perfect for lighting a disco ball, or shining down onto tables to highlight the floral centerpieces, cakes, or other decors.
You could run it with 3xAA batteries or DC power supply according to your need.

How does the Disco Ball Set attach to the ceiling? Do I need to screw them in?
