Before working out, warming up and stretching can help you have an effective workout. Let’s begin with an easy stretch. A long day sitting at your office chair answering emails, not moving for hours until lunch, and constantly twisting can cause tense stress in your lower back. When your lower back is in distress, it can be tough to do anything and affect your sleeping schedule. That is why it is imperative to stay active daily by stretching your muscles to release tension and drinking plenty of water to keep your muscles hydrated. An easy and effective stretch to alleviate your lower spine is performing a child’s pose. It will release pressure and help give you a nice back extension. Make sure to hold the position for 1-2 minutes, taking deep and controlled breaths.
